“HOMEFRONT”
Special double-sized issue featuring the Uncanny X-Men! Meanwhile, back in the present . . . In the aftermath of the “Messiah Complex” war, Cyclops took a leap of faith and allowed his son Cable to disappear into the time stream with the first new mutant birth since “M” day — and the future of the dwindling mutant population — tucked under his arm. Weeks later, he still waits for a sign, however small, that he made the right decision. With evidence pointing to the fact that Bishop has jumped into the timestream and is hot on Cable’s trail, the X-Men’s unquestioned leader is about to make one final power move to protect the fate of mutantkind – one that he might come to regret.

I’m happy a new writer has taken charge of Cable - maybe I will pick this book up again, as it was extremely boring and tedious with the previous writer. Cable #6 looks like it has nice Emma and Scott moments, although I’ll be pissed if they break up over the X-Force secret. I don’t even know why Scott is keeping this secret from Emma - I don’t think she would be against X-Force. With the writers these days, you never know. =/

I stuck with the first arc even though it was dragging towards the end. I’m just happy that they’re doing something new with Cable. He’s always been a favourite of mine, ever since the cartoons.

It looks like the story is going to progress further so i’m confident that things will get more exciting.
