Spoilers: Secret Invasion #8 - The White Queen Reigns?
Indeed, Secret Invasion #8 is available in stores tomorrow (December 4, 2008), but I was able to get a copy in my hands - err, virtual eyes - and scan the last images. SPOILERS for Secret Invasion #8! Click to read more if you wish to continue.
- Marvel Heroes/Villains apparently defeated the Skrulls.
- Janet Van Dyne, the Wasp, is dead. (I’m not sure how…wasn’t quite following that storyline.)
- The US Government fired Tony Stark (Iron Man). He is now removed from his position as Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
- S.H.I.E.L.D. is closing down.
- As the new President of the United States, Barack Obama, makes his first stupid decision: Norman Osborn is now the new Director of Thunderbolts and Fifty States Initiative (in other words, he’s the new “top dog” of the Marvel Universe.) Good bye, Tony Stark.
- At the end of the page, Norman Osborn makes an insidious grin. He, then, proceeds into a room occupied by the characters: Namor, Emma Frost, Doctor Doom, Enchantress (I’m sorry, I don’t recognize her!?), and The Hood.
…Not that it was much of a surprise that the Humans won, Iron Man was taken down a notch, Norman Osborn is the new top dog, and Emma Frost is now part of a conspiracy (perhaps). Basically, the spoilers were speculated correctly as usual.

So is Emma a bad guy again, the group’s moral conscious, or what? Whatever it is…I’m game for anything that’ll get her out of the crap that she’s in now! I can only imagine the conversation Emma and Scott will have the day either one of them finds out his/her “secret.” Scott has X-Force, and Emma has Dark Reign. *says “Ooooooh!” in such an unexcited tone*
But, seriously, Norman Osborn? *laughs*

That’s Loki. He’s a woman now.
I bet Namor and Emma hook up, considering they’re the only ‘good guys’ [if you can call them that] of the group. I’d bet my hat on it.

As much as I love Emma and Scott, Namor and Emma would be one interesting couple for sure. I can’t wait to see the dialogue between the two, considering they’re both snarky/elitist-type characters.
Can’t shake the feeling that they’re all sitting in a bar, angry that they’re drinks haven’t been served. Can’t wait for Maleev to take the reins on their story.
As for Ehms, this doesn’t really make her a bad guy. It just means that her connections when she was White Queen go farther than mutant stuff. She’s probably there more out of curiosity/boredom.
Loki became a woman when Thor restored Asgard. Ultron, Loki, Sinister, Bullseye, at this rate we’ll have a Rhino with boobs by next year.

Hah, Doom looks like he’s sick of being humiliated. Ems is techinically the only female on the team…She-Loki is still a he on the inside.
Emma is staring at She-Loki…and She-Loki and the Hood at Namor are staring at each other. And Doom at us. Nobody is paying attention to Norman. Hahahaha.

@Shark - You got that right, but i dont understand what the hell is going on, though why is emma wearing her old costume?
Am I the only one irritated by Emma and Namor’s involvement in this Cabal. I can tell already by the disappointing ending of Secret Invasion that this storyline is gonna just be stupid. BTW this was Bush’s final decision as president, not Obama’s first lol.
