Marvel.com gives a list of its “Top 10 Scrooges.” Emma Frost makes #4 on the list:

4. EMMA FROST
First Appearance: X-MEN v1 #129 (1979)
Chief Offenses: A “reformed” bad girl, Emma Frost still has a penchant for manipulation, cattiness, pettiness and over-appreciation of material possessions.
Why She Makes the List: “Sure, Emma can be a bit hard to swallow sometimes, but her biting sarcasm’s just too amusing for me to hate her too much. And really, it’s not so much that she’s a Scrooge—she just has very high standards that only a handful of people in the world can meet. If everyone in the world tried harder to meet them, maybe she wouldn’t hate so many people.” –SparkleMotion515

    Umm… I don’t think of Emma as a Scrooge at all. She gets infected with the Christmas spirit just as much as the other X-Men. She loved the booty pants that Ray Grey gave her and she even located Ray’s “grandparents” as her Christmas gift. Emma’s the total opposite of a Scrooge.

    I loved that issue! But I think the context of Marvel’s article was basically stating who are some of Marvel’s “snarky/nasty characters,” if you know what I mean.
