Oh wow i didnt know that when emma turns to diamond her whole outfit and everything she wears turns to diamond is this new?
It’s probably for effects or just some inking somebody didn’t want to deal with. She can’t turn other things into diamond.
Artistic license. Does anyone remember if Emma looked this way when she diamond-ed up in the last issue of Astonishing?
I just caught up from 1-28, ghost boxes, etc. I have to say I do not at all like the new direction Ellis is taking. There is no conflict for Emma with Kitty Pryde gone, and the dynamic between her and Cyclops seems to sidestep any mention of Jean Grey…I get that you move on, but from Emma turning into Jean (SUCH AN AWESOME WTF MOMENT) to this is a sharp turn. Also, uh, WHERE IS COLOSUS? I also dont like the drawing of the new guy, though I’ll give Ellis credit, Ghostbox #2 was well done and Clayton Crain is a fantastic artist, right there with Cassady and Ross.

Emma’s new look is odd. Her talking to Scott about lying to each other does not look good either.
