UXM/Dark X-Men: Exodus & Confession Covers
Marvel gave IGN.com a look of two covers for Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus and Dark X-Men: Confession:
Today we’re going to reveal two covers to you, which act as the finale and epilogue for that same crossover. Though much about the storyline is being kept under wraps for the time being, we do know this – Emma Frost’s secrets are about to be exposed.
First, the conclusion of the series. Matt Fraction and Mike Deodato pen the story that will reveal if the X-Men have what it takes to face off with Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers. It might seem an even match until you consider Sentry and Ares will be involved. Then things don’t seem so fair. Steve McNiven is providing the cover for this oversized one-shot.
Our second debut this evening is for “The Confession.” Borrowing the name of an infamous Civil War epilogue by Brian Bendis and Alex Maleev, we’d be surprised if this wasn’t a spiritual successor. With Emma’s secrets out on the table, how will Cyclops react? And will his dealing with X-Force have an impact? Will the X-Men fracture once again? Craig Kyle and Chris Yost, of X-Force fame, have control on this one. An artist has yet to be announced as of press time. Yanick Paquette has cover duty here. This one is also double-sized.

Well, the “Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus” seems to show Emma on the X-Men’s side again (That didn’t last long).
Then we come to the “Confessions” story. I seriously doubt things will be as tenuous as they appear on that cover. Comic covers always over exaggerate. Really, what right would Scott have to be mad at Emma. If he thought that X-Force was a good and moral idea, why did he keep it a secret from her? Both of them had secrets, but still had the best intentions. Though Emma’s plan didn’t involve killing.
The mere fact that these are the two covers they are “leaking” makes me think they are just building up drama to boost sails. That in the end things will be pretty fine between the two.
Colossus can solo Ares he’ stronger…and a Telepath can take out the Sentry.

I don’t think Norman would be stupid enough to fight the X-Men without stuffing his troops with a boatload of psychic shields. Even with Emma on his side (or is she?), the Cuckoos and even Blindfold can do massive damage.
