Emma Frost Cameo in Marvel Divas #1
Emma Frost gets a cameo in the ridiculously sexist issue of Marvel Divas #1, a miniseries that focuses on ‘women-friendly fun’ and the ‘hardships women face as superheroines.’ The issue sounds positive for women, but it cannot go one page without the main characters talking about their relationships with men.
Anyways, here are a couple of scans that Emma appears in:
Marvel Divas probably takes place around Morrison’s New X-Men considering Emma’s costume. Anyways, I personally can’t picture Emma visiting a release party for such a trite book. This series is very out of character, too. Ick.

I didn’t realize She Hulk was seeing someone. Though I don’t follow her books.
Also, what’s with Emma in that old outfit. When is this story based? Most likely that outfit was chosen for it’s cheesecake value.
As an artist I use a lot of cheesecake, but I also give the ladies their well deserved beefcake shots too. I also get a kick out of watching my male fans get all uncomfortable. I did a sexy drawing of one of my male characters and I got complaints from men about the size of the guys ‘package’. I always turn it back on them. Asking if they have ever complained about the size of the women’s breasts sizes. I do tend to get complaints about drawing women looking too strong looking. I guess the world will have to excuse me for not drawing everyone woman looking like an anemic starlet.
It would seem odd to have a book about Marvel’s ‘Divas’ and not at least cameo some of it’s most powerful women.
I seriously hate it when a comics cover art is so much different then the art inside. One of the covers is drawn by Jeff Scott Campbell.
I’m guessing the issue is around Morrison’s New X-Men, considering the costume Emma is wearing. Plus, all the superheroes are together, and in the continuity now, everyone is split up and undercover because of Dark Reign.
@Aimee –
I buy that. Though I never thought this was going to be something canon. Just an excuse for selling some cheesecake. Which is valid, but they should give ladies some beefcake too.
