Alice Eve is confirmed as Emma Frost

It’s been confirmed by Marvel.com that Alice Eve will be playing Emma Frost in the upcoming movie “X-Men Origins: First Class.”

Make way for the White Queen, Marvelites, as actress Alice Eve takes on the role of Emma Frost! Alice was most recently seen in this summer’s hit “Sex and the City 2″ as well as alongside stars Harrison Ford and Ray Liotta in “Crossing Over.” Something tells me that she wont need Emma’s telepathic powers to hypnotize moviegoers; her stunning beauty will take care of that!

So who will be the force behind all of these stars as they take on the roles of those uncanny X-Men? None other than Matthew Vaughn will be leading the charge as the film’s director! You’ve may have already seen his work as on “Kick-Ass,” so there is no doubt that his talents fit the bill! And back as producer is “X-Men” and “X2″ director Bryan Singer!

    That is gross. A love triangle among Charles, Magneto, and Emma Frost? WTF. Please God, I pray this draft is revised heavily.

    Anyways, the link you provided sounds very rumor-y. Let’s hope this isn’t true!

    I don’t like the idea that much myself, but who knows, given a good execution it might actually turn out quite well.

    There’s some precedence in the comics even. Didn’t Emma and Magneto get quite close during the time both of them was in the HFC? They even got to together during a reality warp at the time in “New Warriors”. Emma and Xavier on their part used to be together in the Ultimate-verse.

    The movie just pulls these two storylines together if these rumors are true. Which I think seems likely, what other role would there be for Emma in a (mainstream Hollywood) movie centered around Xavier and Magneto?

    Having her as a student among many seems rather pointless.
    Having her run a school of her own does not fit with the conflict being between Xavier and Magneto.
    There’s of course the option of having Kevin Bacon be Shaw and him and Emma in the HFC, but that might turn out to be too complicated in the same movie with the Xavier/Magneto conflict.

    Not to forget that we should actually see something of the “first class” as well.

    I see what they’re trying to do, but it does not work out in this context. Ultimate Emma had a little fling with Xavier before the X-Men started, and 616 Emma had a very small flirtation with Mags — who wasn’t really impressed. They might be trying to pull the two together, but this does not work out in movie canon.

    Just….ew. Emma is such a hot character, and I can’t imagine her being between the feud of Prof and Mags. Ewwwwwwww, especially the Professor. I think my turn on level because of a possible Emma/Scott/Jean in the movie just went completely off, thanks to a Prof/Emma/Mag possibility.

    Just……ew. They should just have a Prof/Mag romance instead. That would be hilarious.

    Based on these rumors, I assume they’re doing a reboot. I mean, come on!!!! If they’re going to a reboot, could they at least follow somewhat close to canon?
