Emma Frost’s love triangle with Prof X and Magneto?

Ridiculous.
Emma should be breaking the Jean/Scott pair, not Xavier/Magneto.
I can’t believe all the things that they want to do with this movie, I was excited when I heard that Emma would be in, but now I don’t know what to think… except that maybe this will be worse than Wolverine Origins.

I’m with you, man! I see what they’re trying to do, but this sounds absolutely ridiculous. An Emma/Prof X/Magneto triangle? Oh, please. The focus of the movie should be more on the students and less on the drama between Prof X and Magneto. If this is the entire focus of the movie, then just…ugh. Screw it.

Even if they couldn’t fit in Emma/Scott – which they totally could if they pick up from “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” – they could at least do a White Queen Emma Frost where she romances with Kevin Bacon, who might play a Hellfire Club member. Then again, dear gawd. If they use Emma to purposely break up the relationship between Prof X and Magneto and have Emma go to Kevin Bacon to dominate the world — that would be a mess. Of course, I’m just completely making this up, but it sounds like a possibility.

Seriously, whatever. I know Prof X and Magneto are super smart dudes who wouldn’t have the time to get romantically involved with someone else. As for Emma, who knows what they’re doing to her character.

Personally, I’d love to see a blossoming relationship between Scott and Jean, who are friends of Emma. Then, Emma would have feelings for Scott, but she ends up leaving because of Scott/Jean and the abusiveness that she feels Prof X and Mags are projecting onto the kids. But because this is a movie, the triangle might get confusing, considering that Scott and Jean already had a love triangle in “X-Men” 1-3, so the writers are probably thinking adding Emma onto the table would make it more problematic than starting a triangle with the Professor and Magneto.

Either way, Emma/Scott all the way!

It’s just stupid, I mean I would believe if it was Moira Mctaggert instead of Emma, but gahh noo, please or sexy White Queen deserves someone better than Xavier.
I was thinking in the pink releationship between Jean and Scott and then he suddendly felt attracted by the new girl in the school (Emma) and started to spend time with her, as friends with some kind of romantic tension.
Just like that, since they are teenagers, and that would left the door open to a situation with more drama on the next movie.
Then the relationship of Xavier and Magneto ended when one of them disagree on the training over Jean Grey (much like Wolverine and the X men, where Magneto knows about her potential to become the pawn that would lead to his victory over humans)
That would have more sense to me.
Damn it I would even prefer a relationship with young Banshee, come on!
I probably wont see this movie since I’m really shocked about this bullsh*t. I’m going to see an amazing youtube video that I recently found, based on New X-men comic, where Emma is “portrayed” by Ali Larter. It’s a fan video but the ideas there are much better than this Origins movie.

Is that the fanvid where “Over You” by Chris Daughtry is playing? Heh, I’ve seen that and loved it! Ali Larter used to be my first choice as Emma, but I’m actually huge on Melissa George right now.

Personally I believe this is prob a rumor. I am betting that emma will maybe be the reason why xavier and magneto feud, but after it is shown at the end of x men origins, I believe she will be with scott. though it would make more sense if jean was in this fil, cause wasnt it explained in x3 that they recruited her when she was very younger? If so that could make a good storyline that emma and scott are in love but he falls for jean making emma go with sebastian shaw, which I am prob betting she will die in this movie cause shes not shown in the other films

Why would not Emma/Xavier/Magneto work out in movie canon? Assuming it takes place long enough ago for Xavier and Mags to not be two old geezers :) If anything movie canon would work against Scott/Emma(/Jean) as they already had the triangle (such as it was) with Wolverine earlier which ended up the latter two dead.

X-Men canon is complicated enough that no single movie could ever hope to portray it accurately anyway. Not and be a workable movie at least. I mean, not even a movie based on a single work (like a book) usually follows the source that accurately all the time.

As for Emma/Scott, would it really be that interesting to see teenage Emma, Scott and possibly Jean have a go at it? Emma/Scott in the comics was interesting in great part due to all the back story, but here that would be non-existent. And them being very young would be another mark against it (too reminiscent of Twilight and such).

At least Emma getting in between Mags and Xavier seem to offer more possibilities for her character the get some good moments to shine. It might even be a deliberate plot of hers to split them up to facilitate her owns plans for example, but that might perhaps be too much. (Hopefully she’ll be more than a pretty object to be fought over at least)

So basically I think it could work if done well, but that’s of course a pretty big “if” right there. You probably have cause to be concerned. Still, just a rumor about an early plot draft.

PS: Any chance of getting an “Edit” function to the site? Would be useful when you try to write longer posts.

Personally,I want Jean to have helped Charles find Scott, Emma etc. in Wolverine, but Emma gets all jealous when they date, using the excuse “I saw him first” etc. Sort of a twist- make Jean the bad guy
